Following the considerable success of the forma-care brand within the UK market over the previous two years, across both hospital and trade channels, the brand owners Unizell Medicare GmbH have decided to invest substantially in the UK continence care market. The Unizell objective is to significantly expand the market share of the forma-care brand.

To support this objective a new separate company has been formed which is a partnership between Unizell Medicare and Medi-Inn (UK). The entire focus of the company is the continence market within the UK. Forma-care (UK) Limited commenced trading in April and over the coming months will encompass all the commercial and marketing activity of the partnership.

Unizell Medicare has been established for almost 30 years, with a substantial market presence in Germany within both the Home Delivery, hospital and consumer sectors. The company has a focus on training & education in hygiene and quality management. With an established customer base in over 1,000 care homes & hospices and currently holding over twenty large Home Delivery tenders supplying over 350,000 patients across major cities.

From this substantial new investment forma-care (UK) is already rapidly devoting additional resources and staff to the production of a new training and support facility available to all forma-care users and professionals. In addition to the resource package a new training and education service is being developed based on the experience within Unizell.
The Durham head office offers fully integrated e commerce facilities utilising the newest IT systems which are both secure, highly flexible and able to manage patient data. Customer assistance and care providers training and support are available either on line or through direct calls to the customer centre.
A continence advisor team for both hospital and community support will shortly be offered to all users nationally.
